Went in for dinner last night. Once again they did not disappoint. We had the family style chicken dinner. As always the food is consistently delicious. The service was super as usual. If you haven't stopped in I definitely recommend it. A definite go to comfort food restaurant.
They have some of the best fried chicken around! Definitely a home town eatery. Small building and always busy so make sure to plan ahead. You can always carry out as well!

Steve's offers delicious, homestyle cooking. Their fried chicken is perfectly cooked as is their country ham. Their vinegar based slaw, green beans and fries are all excellent sides. Their bread, which is served as an appetizer, is tasty as well. It is a short drive from Jefferson City, and definitely worth it.
I absolutely love this family restaurant. I might be a little biased as I am the niece of the owner. However, you will most definitely love it too! I grew up eating this chicken at my grandpa Nick's Homestead and I have yet to find any chicken that compares. All of the sides have remained the same throughout the years as well. Service is always so welcoming! Please try as you won't regret it!
